Contact Services

Core Childcare has an infrastructure of over 200 qualified, experienced and trained social work staff who are able to undertake complex assessments of contact. Alongside our network of over 80 offices in the UK, we are able to provide both direct and indirect contact services for siblings and/or birth family members locally throughout the UK for all levels of need.

Indirect Contact Support:

Accessible, innovative and managed contact services through one central function.

We will provide administration, support and encouragement with all forms of indirect contact between children and family members from our dedicated team, providing a UK wide service with equal access to all:

• Support offered to users via telephone and/or email helpline
   
• Ability to develop dedicated web support with information, suggestions and guidance for users as well as the importance of ongoing contact between family members
   
• Provision of links to useful support groups such as welfare rights, support groups, advice lines and information sites for users

We will provide a managed relationship with your local authority/trust through our centralised team, ensuring ease of communication and clear, consistent reporting systems. A centralised service also ensures consistency of standards and expectations and enables us to reduce the pressures on your local team from ad-hoc arrangements.

Contact Supervision

Our extensive team of social work professionals will provide a high quality intervention and reporting service to complement your own teams.

All our staff are experienced in writing contact reports to a high standard; however we appreciate that your own needs may require an element of tailoring and training to facilitate a seamless join with your own systems.

In order to match social workers with child/family needs, we will nominate a lead manager in your region who will deal with contact referrals and identify suitable social workers to assist and supervise contact.
